1. What SignalGap is

SignalGap is a marketing platform that watches publicly available competitor activity and helps you produce counter-marketing — ad copy, images, social posts, SEO recommendations, and related outputs. By creating an account you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure, for all activity that happens under your account, and for notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use SignalGap, directly or indirectly, to:

  • Promote, sell, or distribute illegal drugs, weapons, or other unlawful goods or services.
  • Run scams, phishing, fraudulent schemes, or deceptive advertising.
  • Harass, threaten, dox, defame, or target individuals or protected groups.
  • Generate sexual content involving minors, or content that sexualizes minors in any form.
  • Generate content that incites violence, terrorism, self-harm, or illegal activity.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of SignalGap.
  • Resell, sublicense, or expose SignalGap as a service to third parties without our written consent.

4. No competitive abuse

You may not use SignalGap to unlawfully access, scrape, overload, interfere with, or bypass access controls on competitor websites, social media platforms, search engines, or any third-party services. SignalGap's crawling is rate-limited, honors robots.txt, and is intended to observe public information only. You are responsible for the legality of the competitors and signals you add to your watchlist.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the brand information, competitor lists, prompts, and other inputs you submit ("Your Content"). You grant SignalGap a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to process, store, and use Your Content solely to operate the service for you (including generating counter-creative, running site audits, sending digests, and improving your account's outputs).

We do not use Your Content to train foundation models. We do not sell or share Your Content with third parties for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for the full handling.

6. AI-generated outputs

SignalGap uses third-party AI infrastructure to generate copy, images, summaries, and recommendations ("AI Outputs"). AI Outputs may be inaccurate, biased, or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing all AI Outputs before publishing, advertising, or otherwise using them. SignalGap makes no representation that AI Outputs are factual, lawful, or non-infringing in your specific context.

7. Payment and renewal

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, as selected) using the payment method on file, unless you cancel before the renewal date. You are responsible for cancelling before renewal if you do not want to be charged again. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.

Failed payments may result in suspension of paid features after a reasonable grace period. All payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe's terms.

8. Cancellation

You can cancel your paid subscription anytime from Settings → Billing in the app, or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep paid features until then, and you will not be charged for the next period.

We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods or unused time, except where required by law.

9. Beta and experimental features

Some features may be labeled beta, experimental, or preview. These features may be incomplete, change without notice, or be removed entirely. SignalGap may modify, limit, or discontinue any feature at any time. We will not penalize a customer whose workflow depended on a beta feature that we remove.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, immediately and without refund, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, are harming the service or other users, or are using SignalGap for unlawful purposes. We may also suspend accounts that fail to pay after a reasonable notice period.

You can terminate your account anytime by cancelling and contacting [email protected] to request deletion.

11. No warranties

SignalGap is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI Outputs will achieve any specific marketing result.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SignalGap's total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount paid by you to SignalGap in the three (3) months immediately before the claim arose. Neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify SignalGap from any third-party claims arising out of (a) your use of the service in violation of these Terms, (b) content you submit, generate, or publish using the service, or (c) your violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify active customers by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of SignalGap after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Missouri, and the parties consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

16. Contact

For questions about these Terms, billing, account changes, or to report abuse, email [email protected].
