What it is, who it's for
What does SignalGap actually do?
It watches a curated set of competitors you name, detects when they change something — pricing, SEO, ads, messaging — and turns those changes into a weekly digest plus a queue of counter-moves: SEO recommendations, draft creatives, and launch-ready tasks. You approve what ships.
How much data do I get on day one?
Day one gives you a baseline snapshot. The recommendations improve as SignalGap builds crawl history, detects changes, and learns patterns.
How long before recommendations get better?
The first weekly cycle is mostly baseline. Recommendations sharpen over the next two or three weeks as SignalGap accumulates crawl history and starts diffing real changes instead of reading a single snapshot.
What industries do you work for?
The engine is industry-agnostic. It works for any business with a website and at least three named competitors — DTC ecommerce, B2B SaaS, agencies, service businesses, apparel decorators. If you can name your competitors, we can watch them.
Who is SignalGap best for?
Founders, marketers, and small agencies who already know who they're up against and want competitor changes turned into action — not another dashboard to babysit.
Competitors & data
How we're different, how we collect
How are you different from Vibiz, BabyloveGrowth, Pencil, and AdCreative.ai?
Generic AI starts from a blank prompt. SignalGap starts from competitor evidence, your brand voice, and your recent history. Those tools generate outward from your brand; we generate against what your market is actually doing this week.
How are you different from Semrush, Ahrefs, and Similarweb?
Those tools are strong research platforms. SignalGap is built to turn competitor changes into weekly action: drafts, SEO recommendations, approval queues, and launch-ready tasks.
What if my competitor blocks scraping?
We respect robots.txt and crawl politely. If a site blocks automated access, SignalGap degrades gracefully, flags the source as limited, and keeps monitoring other available signals.
How do you not get blocked by Cloudflare or WAFs?
We respect robots.txt, throttle politely with multi-second gaps between requests to the same domain, and identify with a clear user-agent. For the small set of sites behind aggressive bot challenges there's a paid fallback. If a specific competitor stays blocked, tell us and we'll work around it.
Can I turn competitor monitoring off?
Yes. You choose which competitors are tracked and can pause or remove any of them at any time. Nothing is monitored that you didn't add.
SEO
Detection and fixes
What SEO issues can SignalGap detect?
Technical problems (broken or missing meta, absent schema, slow or unindexable pages), thin content against ranking competitors, weak titles and descriptions, and accessibility gaps. It crawls your pages and returns prioritized findings, not a raw dump.
Can SignalGap automatically fix SEO issues?
Some of them. SignalGap can automate safe fixes where the integration supports it. Higher-risk changes should be shown for approval first, with a plain-English explanation of what will change.
Do automated SEO fixes require approval?
SignalGap can automate safe fixes where the integration supports it. Higher-risk changes should be shown for approval first, with a plain-English explanation of what will change.
What happens if my site platform does not support automatic fixes?
Then SignalGap hands you the exact change to make — the copy, tag, or file — in plain English, so you or your developer can apply it in a couple of minutes. Nothing breaks; you just do the last step by hand.
Social & publishing
Launching and approvals
Can I push approved creatives to Meta, TikTok, Google, or LinkedIn?
Yes. Once a variant is approved, hit Launch, pick a platform, set a daily budget. Meta is first-class; TikTok, Google, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and X run through the same flow, and metrics pull back automatically.
Do you auto-post without approval?
Only if you enable it. Otherwise SignalGap creates an approval queue so you can review, edit, approve, or ignore before anything goes live.
Can I connect social accounts?
Yes. Connect the accounts you want to publish or launch from, and disconnect them whenever you like. You decide what's linked.
Can I use my own images or Google Drive assets?
Yes. Upload your own images or pull in existing assets and use them in drafts alongside anything SignalGap generates.
Can I edit drafts before anything goes live?
Always. Every draft — copy, image, targeting — is editable before it enters the approval queue or ships. Nothing publishes straight from generation.
Pricing & billing
Plans, limits, and cancellation
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Start free, add competitors, and run your first snapshot without entering a card.
Can I switch plans anytime?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade whenever. Changes take effect on your next cycle.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel in settings and keep access through the end of the period you've paid for.
What happens if I hit a limit?
We warn you before you hit it, and nothing gets deleted. Stay put, or upgrade if you need more room.
What counts as an AI generation?
One generated asset — a draft creative, a piece of copy, or an SEO recommendation. Editing or re-approving something you already generated doesn't count again.
Do you offer discounts for nonprofits or single-founder shops?
Yes —
email Jacob with a line on what you're doing and we'll sort something out.
Agencies & white-label
Multiple clients, your branding
What is white-label?
SignalGap presents under your agency's name and branding instead of ours — so clients see your reports, not our logo.
Can agencies manage multiple clients?
Yes. Run a separate workspace per client, each with its own competitors, digests, and approval queue, all from one login.
Can clients approve content inside SignalGap?
Yes. Invite clients to review and approve drafts directly, so you're not chasing sign-off over email.
Can reports use my agency branding?
Yes — your logo, colors, and name on the reports and digests your clients receive.
Technical
API, MCP, and integrations
Do you have an API?
Yes. A REST API lets you pull competitor data, findings, and creatives into your own tools. See the
developer page for details.
What is MCP access?
MCP lets AI assistants talk to SignalGap directly — so you can query competitors, findings, and drafts from tools like Claude without leaving them.
Can SignalGap connect to my website automatically?
Where your platform supports it, yes — connect once and SignalGap can read and, with permission, apply safe changes. Otherwise it hands you the exact change to make yourself.
What happens if an integration fails?
SignalGap flags the failure, keeps the rest of your monitoring running, and retries. You're told what broke and what to do — it doesn't fail silently.
Can SignalGap show me what it is changing before it changes anything?
Yes. Anything beyond a safe automated fix is shown first, with a plain-English explanation of exactly what will change, so you approve with full context.
No questions match that. Try a different word, or email Jacob directly.
